Your NDIS plan can open a lot of doors. Support Coordination helps you find those doors, understand them, and walk through them confidently.

What a Support Coordinator does

  • Explains your NDIS plan in plain language
  • Helps you find and connect with the right service providers
  • Sets up your service agreements
  • Coordinates multiple providers so your supports work together
  • Helps you prepare for your plan review
  • Connects you with mainstream services (health, housing, education)
  • Advocates for you when things go wrong

Specialist Support Coordination

For participants with more complex needs, Specialist Support Coordination provides a higher level of support from a coordinator with specialist qualifications — typically a social worker or allied health professional. This funding is included in your plan if the NDIA determines you need it.

NDIS funding for Support Coordination

Support Coordination is funded under the Capacity Building budget, support category 07 (Support Coordination). It is not guaranteed in every plan — it depends on your individual circumstances and what the NDIA deems reasonable and necessary.
